Microsoft Solitaire Collection hangs on load screen

Still not launching in Windows, think there is a glitch Microsoft side. Have tried all suggestions this end short of a complete system reset.

I'm going to give you some procedures and I hope it helps: Reinstall the Microsoft Solitaire Collection application in Windows 10.

Pressing the key combinations CTRL+SHIFT+ESC will open the Device Manager, after clicking on File > Run a New Task, right after enabling the option Create this task with Administrative Privileges and in the text field type PowerShell after clicking on Ok.
With access to PowerShell, paste the command: Get-AppxPackage *solitairecollection* | Remove-AppxPackage and press Enter.
Click on the Start Menu, open the Store application, and in the search field type Email and Calendar.
Then select Acquire. Then it will install it.
Restart the system and check if the problem persists.

Delete temporary files.

Simultaneously press Windows + R hotkeys to open Run.
Type %TEMP% and click OK.
The %TEMP% folder will open. Permanently delete all files inside the folder, if some files are not deleted it will be normal as they may be in use.
Do this same procedure for the Temp, Recent and Prefetch folders. Run Disk Cleanup.

Press Windows+R key combinations and type CleanMgr after clicking OK.
Opening Disk Cleanup, select "Clean up System Files". (This option loads all System Temporary Installation Files).
After select the Disk again, and thus select all available options and click Ok.
The system will clean up Disk and Previous System Installation Files.

Activate the system for best performance.

Press Windows+X key combinations, select System;
Click on Advanced System Settings, under Performance click on Settings;
After enabling the Adjust for better performance option, and click Ok.

I just finished working on this for a client. None of the usual suggestions (reset, data reset, reinstall, even DISM package removal and reinstall) helped at all.

The solution turned out to be to install another of the Microsoft Casual Game Collection (I used Microsoft Mahjong), open it, then launch solitaire from the "other games" menu. It worked, and it fixed launching the solitaire app directly.

That's brilliant, thanks for the work around. There must have been some tweaking Microsoft side as there is new option on the bottom menu 'Reset All'
