    Microsoft settings for my child


    My 11 year old has Minecraft PE on our iPad. I need to adjust settings from my account in order to allow him to add friends. However, the only methods of adjusting privacy settings that I see are with Xbox or Windows 10 accounts.....neither of which is
    used for iPad? Will one of these work or am I missing something?

    Thanks for reaching out! I'm sorry to hear about the issues you're experiencing adding friends on Minecraft PE.

    The Minecraft app may use a Microsoft account (vs. iCloud) to login. Could this account be in a Microsoft Family Group? Please take a look at the troubleshooting article: Change
    your child’s Xbox privacy and online safety settings    .

    Take a look at this article: How to add new Xbox friends. If you need more assistance with Minecraft PE, I would also try taking a look at their support
    forums    .

    xbox.com doesn't consider my account as an adult because I got an update early.

    I'm on my only account attached, which it claims to be the child account and Xbox privacy and
    online safety settings     it just sends me to:

    Thanks for bringing this inquiry to our attention here on the forums. I understand you're having issues setting up your Settings on a child account is that correct? You will need to sign into an adult account that is a member of the same Microsoft Family
    as the child account to change the settings for the child account.

    Unfortunately, the gamertag was set up under my Microsoft account. I originally set up a child Microsoft account for him, but didn't realize that the gamertag he has been using has been linked to mine... and I never set up xbox under his child account;(
