Microsoft Service is Horrible and We will have a nice legal interaction soon

I have been going through Hell with trying to fix my Xbox 360.

In Hungary - Microsoft does not have direct shops but they sell products through resellers.

One of the reseller had no Xbox One on stock and I wanted to buy for my son a console on his Birthday. So I ended up with purchasing an Xbox 360.

    And guess what???

The console works OK for 2 weeks and then slows down. Eventually cannot connect anymore to Xbox Live.

    I call Tech Support.

1st round - I am advised to wipe out the console, clean caches, reset network settings, delete user profiles - Nothing works.

2nd round of tech support - I am advised to roll back updates and reset console to factory settings - Nothing works

3rd round of tech support - I suggest the technical guy to double check if there is any issue on MS side since I had all ports opened, tried on Mobile phone Hot Spot. The person was nice and tried and it seemed that MS has issues - they opened an alert 2
days ago - MS DID NOTHING to correct the issue.

4th round of discussions - I request a full refund since I bought the console 1 month ago or a possibility to return the product and pay for an upgrade to Xbox One.

I am being told MS cannot handle this - I need to go to the shop.

I am going to the shop and they told me that Microsoft is responsible to handle this due to their contract,

Call Microsoft - they told me they cannot do this and probably it's not even possible to send the console for repair since it is too old model.

So please Microsoft, tell me what to do next? because if within the next 24 hours I do not get this solved - next step is to contact Consumer Protection and report this to them and I am pretty sure they can handle the situation pretty well.

I am not threatening but I am already prepared with all the data to contact them because it is not normal for a company to handle their customers in such manner.

New sealed product and Horrible experience in less than a month with no real genuine interest to help customer and a bitter taste in my mouth. Nice present for my son....

    Thank you Microsoft. Good job!...

    :)

    Microsoft Customer Service is horrible

I'm new to XBox One and am already regretting my purchase. I've literally played the console 2 times and have had to call Microsoft twice on XBox Live related issues. My current issue: I bought a prepaid code from Best Buy. The code is good, but XBox
tells me to try again later. If I try later, then who knows if I'll get it to work, and the only reason I was redeeming it today was to get Back to the Future (which will no longer be free tomorrow).

I don't have time today to spend hours on this issue, yet I've already been waiting for 30+ minutes on the phone to talk to an "operator" at Microsoft (who will likely need to transfer me somewhere else). And been waiting for a person on chat for 20+ minutes.

I guess I'll try Playstation or Nintendo next time. Wonder what the return policy is at Target.

  3. Can this guy get away with this?

I believe there is a bit of text in or on the box of almost every game now, where the ESRB states: "This rating does not reflect online interactions"

    That's why.

Granted though, it would be nice for Microsoft to give us a more direct way of reporting such a vulgar abuse of their services.
