Microsoft Rewards - Pre Orders

at this time (8/7/18) there are the following rewards available;

Buy Sea Of Thieves - 6000 points

Buy State Of Decay 2 - 3000 points

Buy Thor Ragnarok - 2000 poonts

however i am unable to claim on these despite owning them all through pre-orders.

this is quite frustrating as im essentially being punished for being a loyal customer, ironic as thats pretty much the opposite of a reward.

if this is the stance then it seems more in my interest not to buy from microsoft early or even during a launch window and instead hold out for a reward day or a sale. this position however leaves me feeling like an unapreciated customer, and if others did
the same would impact on sales figures, seems pointless. i mean i cant buy the item twice (not that i want to lol)

You won't as it was more than likely a scam.The only ways to get free microsoft points are buy joining the rewards program,some pre orders direct from microsoft or using Bing rewards in some countries.

 

Question regarding pre-order credits AFTER transition to Microsoft Rewards

If I'm reading the information correctly, in-game currency still won't count for dollars spent for rewards credits, but pre-orders will once the payment goes through under Microsoft rewards. Is this accurate? Thanks.
