Microsoft Rewards Points Offer: Minecraft Xbox One Edition

Hello!

With the recent introduction of the Microsoft Rewards app on the Xbox One, I decided to utilize some of its offers to earn points for my account. As of today (7/7/18), there is an option labeled "Minecraft Xbox One Edition" for 2,000 points. Clicking on
the promotion takes me to go and download the game from the store. After doing so and playing the game, I noticed that the points were not added to my account and I was wondering why this was the case.

Unlike other reward promotions that require a purchase earn a specific amount of points like Far Cry 5 or State of Decay 2, this promotion did not provide any instruction for purchasing the Minecraft product. Instead, clicking the
promotion simply brought me to the store to install it, and I could install it because I previously acquired the license.

I just checked my Rewards page and noticed I have the 300 Points Pending along with the Survey Points, which coincidently gives me a nice 360 Microsoft Points. I can now afford Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition!

 

Will not give points for games I bought.

On my Microsoft Rewards app on my Xbox one it states that if I bought Far Cry I would get 6000 points, State of Decay 2, 3000 points and Minecraft Xbox One edition 2000 points. I have bought all three games as they requested but yet have earned
the points for the games it requested and bought.

 

You will need to contact Microsoft Rewards
customer support for assistance. Most likely, if you had already purchased the game before the offer became available, it is not eligible.

 

That would be a shame since the instructions for the promotion did not indicate a "new" purchase would be necessary like other titles listed. I'm more disappointed in that I contacted Xbox Support, which directed me to Microsoft Support, which directed me
back to Xbox's billing support, and finally to here. Oddly enough, even after mentioning several times I was looking for answers regarding Microsoft Rewards, no one could direct me to the link you provided.
