Microsoft rewards on Xbox app won’t open

It keeps asking me to update my location which is all correct. I’ve never moved and Xbox is in exactly the same place it’s always been.

Stinks of Microsoft deliberately blocking people to stop streaks.

Don’t Fob me off with some bs hold the power button, it doesn’t work.

I’ve even reset my entire console.

What’s going on?

Why won’t the rewards app open.

You suck.

Oh come on! So it’s my routers problem.

The same router that, has never had any issues?

Microsoft just don’t want me to get my streak. My ps5 is on the way 😎

I faced a similar issue with my console couple months ago, I ended up realizing was an issue with my internet router
Something inside it causes the error, I tried using a other wifi network (sharing mobile data) and rewards app started working as usual

In case you didn't try it, give it a shot
Another thing is disable VPN if your router supports it

It worth giving it a shot try different wifi network.

Other than that the last option to do on your console is perform an offline update
In that way Xbox system will be installed from scratch.
For this you need a USB and PC to format it and transfer files provided in the link below (with steps):

If the issue persists, you may need to contact MS rewards support through Rewards panel on your Microsoft account

Thanks for you reply. I’ve done the reset but that didn’t work. I have logged back in and now the rewards app won’t launch. I’ve tried reinstalling the rewards app but still won’t open. It says something about updating location. This used to happen before but I could click the icon again and it would let me into the app. But now I can’t get into it at all. I’m guessing I’m gonna have to do a full factory reset? Thanks Luke
