    Microsoft Rewards and Out Stock on Xbox Live Rewards


    It has been over 60 days that Microsoft announced Xbox Live Rewards will become Microsoft Rewards. Several of us who have MyVIP credits would like to redeem them before they are converted to Microsoft Rewards. However, the MyVIP Vault has been out of stock.
    When we asked when they will be stock, we are told they are always re-filled. But I have checked every day since Feb 13 and they have not been. The vault was out of stock even before the announcement. From Microsoft POV, it is financially better not to re-stock
    because the conversion is less than the redemption. Therefore, will Microsoft admit they are not going to re-stock prior to the conversion date? Thanks.

    Xbox rewards gems not converting correctly for change to microsoft rewards

    i have earned almost 800 gems using xbox rewards and so when i saw that its changing to microsoft rewards i went to spend them like the faq advised but almost everything is out of stock even microsoft rewards point which is digital and cannot be "out
    of stock". 500 gems are used to purchase 10000 rewards points but since its out of stock im forced to not spend them and according to the faq these gems if left are worth one reward point!!!!! Thats 1/20th of what it is when you actually redeem them, ridiculous!
    So in essence the item was listed as out of stock so people like me, who have been on xbox live for 10years and loyal gamers get jipped out of what we have earned. Gems are much harder to earn and are worth more than xbox rewards points yet in the change to
    microsoft rewards their value is the same. Please fix this issue

    Wait for the standard response they will give you. Some rubbish about "we restock the vault regularly, be sure to check back soon"!!!! Its a lie, they have not restocked it in weeks. They are going to let the switch over date come about and then give everyone
    a shocking deal in making their Gems into points that will be with about 90% less than they are now!!

    Thanks Microsoft for treating your loyal customers like mugs!!

    Will VIP gems be monetized if they are not redeemed by the time the program closes?

    From the Microsoft Rewards Migration FAQ: "any unredeemed MyVIP Gems will be converted to Microsoft Rewards points and can be used to redeem rewards from the Microsoft Rewards catalog once your membership is transitioned. One MyVIP Gem will convert to one
    Microsoft Rewards point".
    If one gem equals one Microsoft Rewards point , and I have 500 Microsoft Points, that's roughly about 50 cents worth, because a $5 gift card is about 5,000 points.

    Whereas if I were to redeem them through Xbox Live Rewards, 500 gems would get me 10,000 Rewards credits - if only such a thing were not "out of stock" - how does that work exactly except that Microsoft chooses for it be out of stock, so they force me to either
    put up with giving me a tenth of the value or having to buy something useless like Overwatch wallpaper?
