hi there so i have an old account just for Minecraft java edition and i remembered that i used to play Minecraft on it and so then i wanted to play java edition so I only remembered the account name but not the password and I cant access into the account to find the xbox device id so i really need help i am also very limited on the questions

because it was a long time ago and i cant remember so please help thank you

As you don't remember your account email you may need to proceed with the account recovery form:

https://account.live.com/acsr

Sadly only with the username/account name is not possible to recover your account. Is not enough proof of ownership.

In cases like this no one Microsoft agent or Mojang support can assist you with this process / tell your the specific email / modify or share account details due to privacy and security policies

Are you recovering your old account with the correct email and password, because if you are then it would have recovered that account, I advise you to try remember your associated windows live ID with that account and then try to recover it with the correct
windows live ID, it should recover your account if you are using the correct ID for the account.

I would appreciate it, Zerbed. I am afraid that we cannot use your transaction ID or just your IGN to recover a Microsoft account. A Microsoft account is very secured that we cannot simply recover it without knowing the correct information that was linked to it.

asked of you in order to get the Microsoft account / password back.

If you never tied your account to a Live ID (local account only) if you delete it you will not be able to recover it. You can only recover accounts tied to a Windows Live ID and that is dependent upon the last time you had connected to the xbox servers
to backup. You can recover the tag from the xbox dashboard using your live ID and password.
