Microsoft purchases use different email to my account

Hi There,

I cannot find anywhere in my Microsoft account where my fathers email address is list however he always receives emails for my purchases. I only have one email address listed which is what I use to sign in with. All purchases are using my own debit card
that is my name. I would simply like them to email me.

For this you must update the billing info in your Microsoft account. Here's how:

Go to
account.microsoft.com and sign in to the Microsoft account you want to update.
Select Edit profile, and then make the changes needed to update your billing information.

Couple places to look all under account.live.com once signed in with your account

1. Go to Payment and billing and go to address book email under preferred billing is where they will send receipts for purchases to.

2. Click on Family if you are set as a child in the family it may be setup to receive emails when you make purchases also.

Hi, I think that he is under your family. I believe support can change who receives emails.

That usually happens, if you use a different Microsoft Account email than the one you used when you purchased the game back then.

Try to think back and find out if you used a different email then. Also go to
https://commerce.microsoft.com and check if your purchase shows up there. If not, you probably used a different Microsoft Account email to buy Mass Effect.

You can go to https://support.xbox.com/my-account/microsoft-account/forgot-microsoft-account-solution to try to find the
Microsoft Account you might have used back then.

Usually it's not possible to have two Xbox accounts on the same Microsoft Account email.

However, you can try the following:

Go to
https://commerce.microsoft.com and sign in with your Microsoft Account email. There review your purchase history for that Microsoft Account email.

Since purchases are made on the Microsoft Account (and not the Xbox Account itself), you should see your past purchases on that Microsoft Account.

If you don't see any purchases, it's pretty certain, that you accidentally used a different Microsoft Account email by accident, as the purchase history on that page contains tax relevant information about your purchases.

If all of a sudden tax relevant purchases went missing from that page, you could be sure that federal tax agents were taking Microsoft apart to find these purchases.

So please check again if it's not possible that you used two different emails for your Microsoft Accounts, and made the game purchases on a different Microsoft Account.
