Microsoft Points -> Dance Central

I have been hitting all kinds of dead ends with Dance Central. Now I am teasing myself with the 240 Microsoft points listed next to the DLC songs in Dance Central 2.

How Do I redeem my massed amounts of MSP via DC2?

After much frustration trying to find where I can even redeem my MSP and getting spammed to waste all my points on a T-Shirt when I clicked my points in the top right of the browser, I almost gave up. Finally I found

But there I search for Dance Central to no avail.

If Harmonix had not done such an excellent job on the game I would have shattered the DVD and the Xbox long ago just to be done with the frustration. Not only do I love this game I use it for therapy for a cliant with fantastic and enthusiastic results.

Thanks for reaching out to us! We understand
this situation can be frustrating. We have noticed others were having a similar issue as well.
Exporting the original
Dance Central
and/or
Dance Central 2
to Dance Central 3
will cost 400 Microsoft points per disc, and you need an Xbox-LIVE enabled Gamertag that has permission to make purchases. If you've already exported the original
Dance Central
track list into
Dance Central 2, you don't need to export those songs again; they'll automatically install in your
Dance Central 3
library. All of your previously purchased downloadable content will also import automatically.

Side Note:
each game can only be exported once.

The 240 Microsoft points would be referring to Microsoft's old form of currency which as Zenosos stated, was discontinued in 2013. They were not the same as Microsoft Rewards points. Any available add-ons would need to be purchased with currency. You can
redeem Microsoft Rewards points for Xbox gift cards which will add currency to your account to then purchase content. If you search for the add-ons in the Xbox Store, you should see them listed with currency (https://marketplace.xbox.com/en-us/Search?query=dance central 2&DownloadType=GameAddon)
and you would purchase them there.

Just a follow up. It did worked. While I was not able to get near as many as I could with the Microsoft Gold points I got a few. I guess I can get one at a time and we can really savor them.

Smwutches for the clarity. I have thousands of both types of points. Clearly the are different because the numbers are different.

I will take your advice and get an Xbox gift card. ASAP before they do away with those as well. Little skeptical by this point.

I am expecting the DLC to not even work.

Nothing I have done for the game so far has been of any use. From Useless Redeem codes to not being able to import the previous games I purchased for just that reason. I had to repaired the disc drawer several times and had to do away with the other disks
to stopped further damage.

The potential advertised throughout the game is tipping the fun therapy into frustrated avoidance. IF only what was not there to tease then we would be content with what we had. So hoping that this final option works.

To what points are you referring to? The reward program points? Or Microsoft points in general.

As Microsoft points was the original currency to buy everything including dlc in those days. These were bought like today's gift cards.
