Microsoft not handing my parcel over to UPS

I have and there reply was that the import part is out of there hands and just keep checking on the status of the parcel. Has anyone else experienced delay in a replacement from microsoft in general because of UPS.

Just parcelled my series X up to send back to Microsoft, so gainfully it was still in warranty

I'm pinning all my hopes on a hung-over admin clerk hitting the dispatch button, or a sleepy driver picking up the wrong parcel

Gates and dogs are two things that drivers hate, firstly most of the time they cannot find a way into a gate, secondly if there are dogs they usually want to maim the driver in particularly nasty ways so a gate pass-over is always preferable (Also who has

You haven't mentioned if you bought insurance from the courier and stipulated the parcel value, if so you would have a valid claim for the parcels value, if you didn't then you may have to accept what they offer (they don't know what was in the parcel and
only have your word for it). The driver tracker option is the best one you have. however it will still be your word against theirs and I wish you luck!

BTW. good luck with the manager, I have been a driver for 5 years with the largest multi courier delivery company in the uk (Citylink, APC, DPD, Businesspost, DHL, UPS) and don't think I have ever seen a manager dirty his hands with the public over something

[/quote]I'm sure dealing with gates and dogs isn't pleasant, but the bottom line is the sender has paid for a service and drivers are contracted to deliver. If the item isn't delivered then the courier is liable.

Surely it's a simple matter of who signed for the parcel and are the name to which the parcel is addressed? If not then the courier hasn't done his job. If the courier claims that they don't, as a matter of rules, have to hand it over to that person directly
then the buyer should make a claim with the courier. I don't think it's legal for someone to sign for someone else's parcel. Most people will do it for their neighbours but that's no guarantee that someone won't act unscripulously which is why it's illegal.
