Microsoft needs to open up the gamer tag character allotment.

Sorry to hear that you are going through this with the gamer tag. Unfortunately you are not the only one that is going through the 15 character to 12 character transfer for gamer tags. But, unless it causes a technical error within the XBOX software, it's
doubtful that it wont be changed back anytime soon. It was obviously changed to 12 characters for a reason and anytime a gamer tag is set up, it's always a good idea to choose your gamer tag carefully, especially after you use up your 1 free change without
the added charge.

i tryed unfortunetly it ius saying it needs to be a maximum of 12 characters long my gamer tag on my xbox account is 13 characters long

I don't think changing your gamer tag to your personal name is a good idea.

However, Microsoft has been buggy since the gamer tag multiple change feature has been available.

Nothing to worry about Try again later or switch the gamer tag characters around.

Sadly due to your gamer tag not being offensive (God like can mean anything from being god like in the sense of greek mythology)

In my personal opinion I do not think Microsoft will let you change it for free until allot of people complain against it.

Microsoft really needs to reset any unused gamer-tag that has never got online for over 7 years. And they must also reset all banned gamer-tags. Cause almost 50% of any type of gamer-tags are not being used for years, or they either got banned. But my question
is. Is Microsoft ever gonna reset gamer-tags again? Whenever they shut-down the Xbox360 servers? Is that ever gonna happen? I really do hope so.

P.S. Just always be creative. There is still PLENTY of gamer-tags out there that are just waiting to be picked up.
