    why does microsoft not let us do that? Its makes it a lot harder on us to go buy another card, but hey microsoft wants us to waste more money eh? That part of the system is just broken.

    You can not use the money in your Microsoft Account to purchase xbox live gold. You will need to use a credit card or buy a prepaid subscription card

    You can actually use the Microsoft money at microsoftstore.com and purchase a xbox live subscription card and it will give you option to use Microsoft money when checking out.
