Microsoft MUST be able to find the serial number of my Xbox 360...

My Xbox One and Xbox 360 were stolen, so they could be resold to buy heroin.

I contacted MS support, and they said they couldn't do anything without the serial numbers.

I managed to find the XB1 ser#, but don't have the number for the 360. And no, I didn't register the devices with MS, I would have assumed it would be done automatically when you link the console to your LIVE account.

Now, surely Microsoft must be able to see the serial number for my 360 based on recent usage by gamertags, right?

I don't want the purveyors of stolen goods getting full use of my console, and I will need the number to prove the console is mine when I, or the police, track down the person who bought the stolen Xboxes.

So there is no 12 digit serial number like on the Xbox One and Kinect? Maybe you're right though as it doesn't say how to find the number for a controller at the following link, so maybe it's not able to be registered:

Support problem from Xbox one

I don't recall having to ever enter a SSN when I got my 360 repaired back when the old white one was first out. It is asking for your consoles serial number.

No. Your serial numbers aren't registered or tied to your account. There are numerous reasons for this. Unless you registered your console, there isn't anything you can really do.
