    Microsoft (Routers): MS false advertising, bate & switch?
    On Friday the 13th there was a sale on in the Microsoft store for an 8 movie collection of the Friday the 13th movies going for 87% off ($13.00 CA). Every time I tried to purchase the item the store gave me an error and would not allow the transaction. I
    tried numerous times almost every hour. Eventually I contacted MS support . I spoke to an agent for an hour who said that they were aware of this issue and that I should just keep trying, Knowing it was Friday the 13th I asked him if the store wasn't fixed
    in time would MS honor the sale price to which I was told that he didn't see and expiry on the sale and to keep trying for 24 - 48 hours.

    I continue trying for the rest of the night and was continuously met with the same error until I went to bed. Wake up on Sunday and try again. Sure enough the price has increased to $50.00 CA. I contact support again and explain the entire situation to them
    and after yet another hour I am told simply that it was an offer only on Friday the 13th and that they could not honor the sale price from the day before even although their store was not allowing people to purchase it.

    This feels like textbook false advertising (bate and switch) on MS's end and is a horrible practice towards its consumers. I would like to know what the explanation on their side is regarding this and if anyone else had this issue and if so what MS can really
    do about it since it was an error on their part not the consumer.

    After 3 months of owning X1 I am extremely happy I got one.

    "can't return it anymore, too late. can sell it for a loss though, there is no demand for it.

    It is MS fault, it is called false advertising"

    @Wanorios......... for real???? This is why there are so many "X1 fail" threads.... it is not MS fault... its yours..... where is the false advertising??? Please explain what you did not understand??

    If that is how Gamestop did it then what they did was false advertising that turned into a bait and switch when Microsoft denied their special after the fact. They sold me the expansion pack for less on sale with the pre-order. Very bad.

    I’m Shure that the website advertising that it is still available 14 days after it was "canceled" and redirecting you to other more expensive options is.
