Microsoft Live TV tuner is not detected by XBOX One

    Microsoft Live TV tuner is not detected by XBOX One


    Hi!

    I had the tuner working 2 years back, but haven't used it since. Now when I connect it and try to

    look for channels in Oneguide, it is not detected and I get stuck in a prompt asking to plug it in.

    Can I somehow remove the "old installation" and start again? I have tried all three USB input,

    but no luck.

    Funnily enough I had a sort of similar issue recently, for the last few years my Xbox has been able to control my TV/SKY box easily, then since Friday nothing was working.

    The only way I could get it too work was to reset the TV setting in Oneguide (think that was it)

    Before I found that setting, every timer I tried to get the Kinect to work the TV, it just failing.

    Stick was brand new at Christmas. I guess I'll be sending it back to Amazon then! Just not at all confident that it's broken. Feels more like a software issue to me.

    I'm sorry to see any detection issues! If you haven't already, you should be able to set up your device again following the steps on our

    TV Tuner set up     support article.

    If setting it up again doesn't help out because it's not being detected, you may need to get a replacement. If you have another console handy to ensure it's an issue with the tuner and not the console, that will help determine what might need to be replaced.

    Let me know how it goes! I'm happy to answer any other concerns you may have with this. Microsoft Live TV tuner is not detected by XBOX One :)

    I just downloaded the May update to try my Hauppauge Tuner (the same one indicated in

    support.xbox.com/.../over-the-air-tv    ) and was disappointed that regional support was not included in the update - though my tuner was detected. Does anybody know if regional support is forthcoming? If not, then I too would love to be in the preview program
    so I can use the tuner. Thanks!
