Microsoft Launcher Minimising Apps

Since reinstalling didn’t help, try these steps:

1. Go to Settings > Apps > Microsoft Launcher > Battery and set it to Unrestricted so it’s not closed in the background.

2. In Settings > Apps > Microsoft Launcher, clear the cache and data to reset it.

3. Make sure Microsoft Launcher is your default home app in Settings > Apps > Default Apps > Home App.

4. Check for updates for both Microsoft Launcher and your phone.

I believe the TC is trying to add The Windows App version of FH5 to the Steam launcher as a none steam game. This isn't possible.

Unfortunately due to the DRM the Xbox App installed games still use, it's not possible to add these games to your Steam launcher as none steam games.

GoG Galaxy does allow you to add games from any PC launcher, including the games from the Windows Xbox App.

If you want to stream the Xbox App version of FH5 via steam, you should still be able to by this by launching Steam in Big Picture mode and then minimising to the desktop.

On the other hand if your question was about transferring the game from Windows to Steam then that's not possible. If you want to own FH5 on Steam, you'll need to buy the Steam version.

I've noticed the Flight Sim 2020 app when minimised uses considerably more CPU (going from 15% to 70% when minimised) and considerably more GPU (18% going to 48% when minimised)

What on earth could cause this to happen?

You would presume the opposite would be true, but it's not the case

I am growing very weary of the Store apps, they cause me nothing but issues during the install compared to Steam or any other game installers

I click on play, the Xbox app minimises and nothing happens. There is no process from The Outer Worlds in the task manager, nothing.

Since you were able to check both Launcher and uninstall, reinstall the app multiple times. Kindly sign out on Xbox App, Microsoft Store App, and Minecraft Launcher then restart your PC before signing back in.

On your launcher, make sure to use "Microsoft Login"
