I am reposting this description I found in an old forum (last paragraph below.) Saves me the time to describe myself as this new service update completely crashed my xbox one x. I don't want to waste my time speaking
with customer services as I am in no way purchasing anything else or giving anymore of my time on xbox products. But I want people out there to know this is the type of activity you can expect when buying xbox product and services since I have been a customer
from my teenage years and now into adulthood (god only knows how much $$ I have spent.) I was an active member/ player and bought it all.

I have spent over $300 on elite controllers alone, they all fall apart and my friends tell me they have the same experience (but once you start playing with paddles there is no going back.) Did xbox help me with that
when I looked for exchanges? Absolutely not, hence why I kept spending money on their 'prestige' controller.

Now, I just bought Avengers and wasted money on that too since I can't even play on my crashed system (xbox one x.) There goes my xbox live service money into the trash, there are no plans to refund my money. My console
is barely 2 years old.

When it comes to content for consoles, don't expect any exclusive content because there is 0 coming your way if you are on xbox. Who is running the commerce partnership deals over there? Why is it that every game studio
has exclusive content for other platforms and NEVER for Xbox? Destiny was your game initially microsoft!! but my friends get better content since they use Playstation? No spiderman in Avengers, No Fall Guys, No Among Us and the list goes on and on.

WITH NEW GEN CONSOLES COMING OUT NEXT MONTH I WANT TO MAKE IT VERY CLEAR. STOP BUYING XBOX PRODUCTS!!! They don't care about you and with PC gaming at its forefront Windows will continue to make a **** load of money
so no one in Redmond gives a **** about xbox customers. This is my first and last online rant, but I couldn't let you get away with it (Microsoft) after giving you my gaming money for over a decade.

Ever since the latest Xbox one update my console has stopped working. I could still play offline but the update was mandatory to play online. During the update I kept receiving an error code. I went to Microsoft support
and followed all there steps to fix this problem and none of them worked. The second last step was to factory reset your Xbox and restart the update. After doing this I am now stuck at the set up your new Xbox one screen when it searches for an update. Then
it finds the same update as before and gives me the same error code. The last step on Microsoft's support page is to take in the Xbox one to a Microsoft store for repairs. My warranty ended 3 days before the update so now I am totally screwed. THANKS MICROSOFT
FOR KILLING MY XBOX 3 DAYS AFTER WARRANTY!!!!!!!!!!

I couldnt agree more Robert! After a gap of about ten years of no consoles after getting sick of red ring of death on the 360. I stupidly got a one x, what a waste of time/con. All they want you to do is pay more for a repair that doesnt need doing, it's
there updates that break them. I'm in the same boat and everything you have said is true the support is non existent. Good luck all them being conned with Microsoft teams and the new xbox. I for one will be be going playstation or hoping apple bring one out
and trying my luck with the small claims court with these clowns.

Thank you for your response Ngocphi. Completely understand your perspective. Although I wasn't using the Insider Program. I used to work for MSFT and understand how the Insider Program works and to be honest I shouldn't have to put up this risk of sharing
my data to get the best service from a product I already paid good money for.

The description I pasted is exactly the experience I had. But you bring up a good point, I want people to see I don't have a legacy system.

Well to try and fix your issue you should give more info rather then quotr another post

This doesnt.tell us what settings and where you are

If you are in the insiders program one Never ever uses the offline update

Insider program troubleshoiting should never be with support but with regedit forums for r/xboxinsiders

Quick tip if you are in the insiders program.there is am easy fix remove your console from the program via insiders hub and then update

That idea was, unfortunately, killed along with Microsofts original vision for the Xbox One because of the cry babies on the internet.

If Microsoft kept their "Original Vision"...I would bet the Ouya would be outselling the X Box One! ;-)
