    Microsoft keeps asking me to enter a Windows Hello PIN I have never set up.


    So I downloaded the Minecraft launcher from the Microsoft Store and when I wanted to log in with Microsoft there it would ask me for a windows hello pin that I never set up. The account i wanted to use is not no my pc so i cant change the setting from there which means im locked out of my account now. I saw a person had the same issue but when i tried the solution they gave them I couldn't open a folder i had to.

    Have you tried the steps to remove it from the settings? There should be an option there as well to sign in with local account on the page. But if the option is not available, it would help if you can provide a screenshot so we can further check but please don't include any personal information as this community is open for all users so others might be able to see it.     The account is mine and I don't have it linked to any Windows device.

    If it is not your account that is being used on your Windows device, you may need to ask the owner of the account to remove it.

    Hello! My name is Ben a fellow member here in the community, not a Microsoft employee. Hope you are doing well!

    With regards to Windows hello pin, you can actually remove this via the settings of your device. If it is not your account that is being used on your Windows device, you may need to ask the owner of the account to remove it. To remove Windows Hello and any associated biometric identification data from the device:

    1. Go to Start > Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options.

    2. Select the Windows Hello method you want to remove, and then select Remove.

    Yes and after entering the password, it sends me to the next window asking to use a Windows Hello account and then requests a PIN number. I do not know the PIN number as I never made one for the account in question.
