Microsoft intentionally designs the controllers to break 10 days after warranty

It took 40 minutes to get a "no" out of microsoft. 120 days of warranty is almost a dollar a day for this controller. But if you buy the warranty from best buy and NEVER buy from Microsoft, you can get a brand new controller every year for about 10 bucks,
because NO microsoft controller has EVER lasted longer than a year.

Xbox Design Lab Controller Breaks Shortly After Warranty

I finally decide to shell out the $80 for an Xbox Design Labs controller and about one month after the warranty expires, the left thumbstick breaks. I've had several other (and much cheaper!) controllers, all of which have seen more use than this one, none
of which have had the same issue. Seems like what you gain in customization, you lose in quality. So so so frustrating. I cant believe that one month ago, they would've sent me a new controller no problem and now I'm completely out of luck (and $80). Thats
just so stupid! Seems like these shoddy controllers are designed to only hold up for about 100 days - then the jokes on us. Thanks Microsoft!

    Xbox One Controller thumbstick

my solution is buy your next controller from best buy , add $10 warranty and every time the thumb stick breaks , take it back to best buy, sure it will cost you another $10 to re buy the warranty but $10 is better then $60 until microsoft Fixes this problem.
By the way i have gone through about 7 controllers since day one smh. hope this helps a little

xBox one-s, awaria przycisku RB - gwarancja (xBox one-S, RB button failure-Warranty)

    Hello Tomasz,

Thank you for posting here on the Xbox forums. Xbox one standard controllers have 90 days of warranty. After that time has passed, you would have to buy a new one if you would like to replace your controller. The exceptions being the Design lab controllers
(120 day warranty) and the elite controllers (1 year warranty). If you purchased "Microsoft complete" with your console then you may have the extended warranty that extends to the controllers as well.

Let us know if you have any further questions.
