  7. That one is for reporting abuse on Microsoft services though, not scams pretending to be Microsoft.

I think people would be better off following the advice from the Microsoft Cyber Trust Blog HOW TO: Report the Microsoft phone scam | Cyber
    Trust Blog

    Microsoft imposters..

The form I provided in my second post is for anything - it goes to Microsoft management.

  9. Businesses like Microsoft operate in sections, writing to one does not mean you'll be able to contact someone in another. Which part of Microsoft management do you think that form goes to? Xbox Management, Windows management, Office Management etc

There is no point in reporting to 'Management' if the problem is for another department. Sure they might pass it on to the correct people but that is by no means a sure thing.

A direct quote from the page you link to. Yes it refers to scams but these are scams taking place on a Microsoft service, no the scams pretending to be them over the phone.

The proper way to do it is to report is from the info I linked to.

I got this one guy who called my house once upon a time:

"We got a message from your computer saying there was an issue, I'd like to get some information from you so we can fix it"

Me: LULZ: SUUUURE! But first, can you tell me what my operating system is? (was running Linux/Ubuntu at the time)

    "It is windows 97"

    Me: HA! no.

    "oh, I'm sorry, it's XP"

Me: Go tell your scammster boss you need more training, I don't even have a windows PC.

    "Oh, you have an Apple?"

Me: listen you *insert string of obscenities* if you ever *more obscenities* my house again YOU PERSONALLY will regret it.

    No more calls ^_^

  11. Hey there, TheJackah

The form you provided was for any abuse on the Microsoft services (such as Outlook.com, OneDrive etc..) but not for phone scams.

Phone scams are reported to other agencies outside of Microsoft corp. They then investigate and contact Microsoft whenever they need to.

Th3- Glad your method worked Microsoft imposters.. :) But me personally would report the phone call. Mainly because, although they are not ringing you anymore, they could be ringing other people. Some people do fall for these scams. It is upsetting to see, but it does happen

If someone calls you from Microsoft technical support and offers to help you fix your computer, mobile phone, or tablet, this is a
    scam
designed to install malicious software on your computer, steal your personal information, or both.

Do not trust unsolicited calls. Do not provide any personal information.

You can report this scam to the following authorities:
Whenever you receive a phone call or see a pop-up window on your PC and feel uncertain whether it is from someone at Microsoft, don’t take the risk. Reach out directly to one of our technical support experts dedicated to helping
you at the Microsoft Answer Desk. Or you can simply call us at 1-800-426-9400 or one of our customer
    service phone numbers
for people located around the world.
