From your description, I understand that you are asked to "Authenticate Microsoft Services" when playing Minecraft. I understand your confusion about this issue.



To understand that you are encountering problems with authentication in Microsoft services:

1. Try to delete and re-add your Microsoft account: In the Authenticator app, try to delete your current Microsoft account, re-add it, and then rescan the QR code to link it again.
   
2. Re-sign in to Minecraft.
   
3. Try restarting your device and uninstalling and reinstalling the game to see if the problem persists.

it appears that the setting to automaticly set the clock is off and that caused the issue

Which platform are you on, and which Minecraft are you experiencing this issue with?

I actually got it to work. I had to sign into my Microsoft account on a desktop, then when it asked me to enter my password, I had to choose use authentication app instead of entering my password.

Also, this issue has been heavily reported in this community, which means it may be a temporary issue that cannot be resolved through regular troubleshooting steps.

The good news is that Microsoft is aware of the issue and has already started investigating it.

If the issue is updated or fixed, I'll let you know here as much as possible.
