Microsoft: How to get PC audio running through my xbox one controller again?

Microsoft (Routers): How to get PC audio running through my xbox one controller again?
For some reason I cannot get my PC audio to run through my xbox controller anymore. I connect my wireless controller via a cable to my pc and plug my gaming headset into it. I do this so that I can take advantage of the instant mic monitoring of my turtle
beach adapter/control panel for my headset. It used to work fine, all audio of my pc would run through the controller and to my headset; I could use my headset mic, change the volume, mute, bass boost and hear myself via mic monitoring just fine.

That changed recently and I'm unsure why. Now when I plug in my controller, it does a short rumble followed by a longer one. It only ever used to do the short rumble. It also is not recognised as an audio output like it used to be just a few days ago. Im
not sure if it's relevant or not, but when I take off the turtle beach adapter and plug my controller straight into the 3.5mm jack it rumbles continuously.

Please help if you can, as it makes online gaming more annoying when I have to yell to hear myself over the noise cancelling headphones and game volume.

I should mention the controller features still work (I booted up hyper light drifter and the controller worked fine in that regard) it's just that audio wont run through it.

    Thanks in advance.

    :)

    Game Audio/Chat Audio

    Hey

Streaming to Win 10 on the Xbox App. If in a party I plug in my chat headset into the controller I get both game audio and chat through the headset, unplug and I get it through the PCs speakers.

Is it possible to seperate game and chat audio when using it in this manner? If so how? Had a play with the audio settings to no avail.

    Thanks

  3. Issues Connecting PC through HDMI-In on XBox One

Kyptonite, I have a similar situation.

I've connected my laptop to the Xbox One and I have two issues.

    1) Frozen video after a period of inactivity

    2) Only 2 channels of audio recognized by my PC through HDMI into the Xbox One.

I know Microsoft didn't intend on us connecting PC's to the HDMI pass-through, but when it works, it is awesome. I'm running XBMC on a PC with my media and can easily switch over to the Xbox for gaming.

As far as solutions go, I've had a little luck using different audio options. Right now I intentionally have HDMI running from my PC with NO AUDIO into the Xbox One and SPDIF running separately from my PC to my receiver. The pain for me now is that I have
to switch between HDMI and SPDIF on my receiver if I want to play a game (HDMI from Xbox) or watch a movie (SPDIF from PC)

I haven't had a lot of time to test this solution, but it seems as though the audio via HDMI into the Xbox is what is failing here. I could be wrong though.

I'm running Windows 8.1 on my PC and have the latest Intel drivers for my graphics card. I can also verify that I get full 7.1 audio when connected directly to my receiver, so this is not a PC problem.

Xbox one controller makes my Game slow down ( on PC )

You have the official driver you downloaded right?

Go to Device Manager, look for the Xbox One controller, uninstall the device, and then run the driver installer again to get the controller working again.

You can find an Xbox 360 controller emulator on the internet, then run the Xbox One controller through that.

    Xbox Startup Splash Screen Question

There shouldn't be a delay...I get no delays on audio when running my headset through the controller.

Am curious: Why are you running the speakers through the controller? Would it not be better to run them through the monitor? Far as I know, all monitors without speakers have a 3.5mm headphone/speaker port to plug them in.

Are Xbox Design Lab controllers compatible with Windows 10?

they are the same as the standard xbox one s controllers, so with pc you can use via bluetooth(audio through headphone jack not supported)

or wired(supports audio via headphone jack)

    Keyboard and Headset

    Hey there CoolOBeast,

Sorry to hear you are running into this audio issue. In this case you should be able to get audio through your controller. In this case I would advise you troubleshoot the audio a bit to get this resolved. Go ahead and take a look at

Troubleshooting your Xbox one Stereo Headset
    for steps.

Using the Mouse and Keyboard does not change how you set up your headset.

    I hope this helps.
