    Microsoft Gift Code - Redeemed to incorrect account.


    I purchased Forza Horizon 4 Standard Edition (PC) for my son as a birthday gift.

    The store gave me a code, which my son redeemed, however he redeemed it onto the wrong account (an old account was signed on, not his).

    We didn't download or use the game, and immediately contacted MS Store support.

    They tried to refund it so we could get a new code but could not, then I received an email saying no refund would be issued and the game cannot be transferred.

    So I raised a chargeback with my card issuer, because we were unable to use the game we had purchased.

    Microsoft support then fraudulently advised my card issuer that I had in fact redeemed the game and had been playing it.

    They gave them some bogus screen shot saying I'd played it 29 times.

    The game isn't even available for me to play on my PC - I've not been able to download it or play it.

    Appalling!

    To clarify, are you trying to redeem a code for a Game Pass subscription or a gift card? Where did you purchase it? Please confirm the exact retailer and whether it’s an online code or physical card.

    The specific error you receive (‘not eligible, try redeeming on another site’) indicates that you either can’t apply it to your account (like if it’s only for new subscribers and you’ve had a subscription before) or you’re redeeming it in the incorrect place. Try entering it again at https://microsoft.com/redeem
