Microsoft Flightsimulator Update going back and forth.

Hi everybody,

i currently expierence the problem, that i try to download all packeges for MS Flightsim, so it's 164GB. But my update is jumping always from 5% back to zero, like the whole time. So i cannot download it to the end and play the game. I already installed it new from the sctrech because i had this issue in the beginning with an 5GB Update. Somebody got a solution for that?

Hello, Pawel! Are you able to play it through Xbox app?

One thing you should remember is that flight simulator will show you the status of decompression of the packages it's downloaded, so what you're likely seeing as many small files starting decompression and finishing quickly and that's why your meter keeps jumping. Please leave it alone and see if it finishes

Hey, hey.

Yes every other game works fine. I just said "eff it" and bought the game again through the Xbox App on PC.

Hello, Pawel! Thanks for the info. We can try some steps that might help. Kindly try deleting the old package. Go to the 'Official' folder located by default.

Steam version

C:\Users\your_username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator\Packages\Official\Steam

If you have installed the packages on a different drive look inside your custom folder (for example D:\MSFS)

Sort out your folders by "Date modified"

Delete every folder older than today's date

After that, try to verify integrity of Game Files. Restart your computer and launch Steam. Next, you can either right click the game in your Library, or click the gear icon from the game's Library page on the far right From the drop down menu, select Properties. Select the Local Files tab and click the Verify integrity of game files button
