Microsoft flight simulator stuck on blue bar loading screen

If you’re stuck on the Flight Simulator 2020 checking for updates loading screen, these are the fixes that players have reported:

• Restart the game
• Run as administrator
  • To do this, type ‘Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020’ in the Windows search bar, right-click, then run as administrator
• Download latest Windows updates
• Download latest Nvidia driver updates
• Disable Windows firewall (I finally get off that screen when I performed this step).

None of these resolves the issue - I have done it all.

Even though the blue notification never shows up in the Xbox app, Microsoft Flight Simulator is still unable to load, presumably because Gaming Services was deleted.

If you're stuck in a loading screen with Microsoft Flight Simulator, your first move should be to try starting the game as an administrator. Make sure you've closed the game completely (Alt + F4 if you can't find an exit from the loading screen) and then don't launch the Xbox Gamepass app. Use the Windows search bar to find Microsoft Flight Simulator, right-click on it and select “Run as administrator”. Try doing this several times in a row (at least 5) to see if it works.

Same issue here. Getting stuck at 1/3 of the way at the blue bar loading screen. Tried reinstalling the game 3x but no luck
