Microsoft Flight Simulator 'Please insert game disk' error (Xbox Game Pass)

I've checked everywhere and tried everything but nothing has worked

I've tried:

- Deactivating windows defender / firewall

- Checking my time and location settings

- Using Ethernet instead of WiFi

- Re-installing the digital ownership gamepass & the whole game 4 times

- Running it as an admin

- Windows troubleshooting

+ my pc has 2TB space & has a working gamepass

Can someone please help me with this or just get Microsoft fix it? I've wasted countless hours trying to get this working and have achieved nothing

Known Issue: Some users seeing a "Please insert the Microsoft Flight Simulator disc" error when launching the game on Windows 10.
Workaround: In order to play the game digitally on Windows 10, you will need to have the Digital Ownership File installed as it is required to grant the necessary permissions to play. If you already have this file installed and are running in to this error, please uninstall and reinstall this file only and this should resolve the issue. There is no need to uninstall the entire 127+GB base game files. Uninstalling this small 10MB file is all that will be needed.

Thank you for contacting the Xbox Support forums. I understand that you are unable to select "fly" while attempting to play Flight Simulator. By chance, is this only happening with one specific aircraft? Have you noticed this error with other aircrafts?

Users seeing similar errors have had success resolving it by downloading any updates for the game. Please open the Microsoft Store app and search for "Microsoft Flight Simulator" and download any updates that may appear. This is still suggested even if you downloaded the game through Game Pass, it will not install the game a second time.

If the error persists, you may respond back to this thread but I would also suggest opening a ticket with the Flight Simulator team at Flight Simulator - Submit a Request.

As far as I know, it is coming on Xbox Series X|S only!
