Microsoft Flight Simulator Loading screen crash

I keep running into the same problem a lot of people have. I am trying to fly my trusty plane, and can't get passed the loading screen. I used to play the game quite a lot for about a month. I'm trying to get back into it, and it won't load. I have a i7-9700K, 24gig ram, and 1080ti. Everything is up to date. I have also deleted and reinstalled the simulator twice so far.

Any help would be great at this point. Thanks so much.

Got it to work!!! I had an old mod from when I played it last. Removed it. Loads just fine now.

None of those things worked for me. I am playing on the Steam version. Are their different steps I can take to get the simulator to load?
