Microsoft flight simulator installation keeps reversing

I'm trying to install the game in compatibility mode. This may help if the game is not compatible with your current version of Windows. To install a game in compatibility mode, follow these steps:

Right-click on the game installation file and select Properties.
On the Compatibility tab, select the box next to Run this program in compatibility mode for.

Select the version of Windows you want to use and click OK.

Try installing the game on a different partition on your hard drive. If you have multiple partitions on your hard drive, try installing the game on a different partition. This can help if the game does not have enough space on the partition you are trying to install it on.

Make sure your PC meets the minimum system requirements for the game. You can find the minimum system requirements on the Microsoft website.

Open Task Manager and check CPU, memory and hard drive usage during installation. If one of these resources is reaching its limit, it may be the cause of the problem.

Thanks for the quick reply.

The graphics car is a NIVIDIA Geforce RTX 2060, running on the latest December update.

I'm running windows 10 22H2, so can't imagine it being a compatibility issue.

There is 300GB on the partition it is installing on, plenty for the recommended amounts

I have 8GB of Ram, which is the minimum, but is stable at 70% while installing.

Do you have any further advice on this issue?

1-Open "My Games & Apps" on the Xbox console by choosing the "My Games & Apps" tile on the Xbox Dashboard or by opening the Xbox Guide and choosing the "My Games & Apps" option.
2-Find Microsoft Flight Simulator in the "Games" section of "My Games & Apps". Note: If you are installing or pre-installing Microsoft Flight Simulator, the game will immediately appear in the "Games" section and you can do this during installation.
