Microsoft flight simulator digital copy, cannot run, cannot uninstall

It started with an update to my NVIDIA drivers. Once I updated that I could not get my multi monitor setup back. In the process of trying, I have no idea what happened, but the msfs icon vanished. I found the msfs file on my drive but when I click in it it open the files. It doesn’t run the program. It doesn’t show up in control panel to uninstall and even if it did it was a down load and my code says I already redeemed it so how can I flush it and reload it?? This thing has a major pain since I got it.

I’m assuming all the files are in the folder.

Maybe there’s an install file in there somewhere I can launch?? I tried a few .exe files but they could not run.

Immediately after I posted this I started my computer I tried to open Xbox and it said needs installed. Which it was last night. I have no idea what’s going o with my computer. Anyway, in there was my flight simulator and it is downloading now.

I have done some research for your issue and would like to recommend that you take a look at the FS support article that lists the steps to remove the game from your pc. Hi there,I just bought my Xbox One S on Saturday and there is something wrong with it.I cannot install Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 on Microsoft Store.And,are we allowed to play Microsoft Flight Simulator on Xbox?Thank you.

Known Issue: Some users seeing a "Please insert the Microsoft Flight Simulator disc" error when launching the game on Windows 10.
Workaround: In order to play the game digitally on Windows 10, you will need to have the Digital Ownership File installed as it is required to grant the necessary permissions to play. If you already have this file installed and are running in to this error, please uninstall and reinstall this file only and this should resolve the issue. There is no need to uninstall the entire 127+GB base game files. Uninstalling this small 10MB file is all that will be needed.
