Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 Keeps Crashing when it reaches the Check For Updates page.

For some reason, after an update when I launched MSFS, it was working fine. But then after I quit the game, and played for a few hours playing different games, it just starts crashing once it reaches the Check For Updates page. It just force restarts my Xbox. What do I do to fix it?

Date of Incident: July 26, 2023, around 4:30 PM EST

Device Affected: Xbox Series S, 512 GB

App Affected: Microsoft Flight Simulator

I tried doing that, and it still crashes. It’s probably a bug, so I’ll wait until a patch comes in. Thanks for your help tho.

Sorry about that. Is this the only game that is having this issue? Kindly try clearing your MAC address. Kindly go to your Xbox Settings. Select Network Settings > Advanced Settings. Under Change Settings select Alternate MAC Address> select Clear. Allow the console to restart when prompted then try to launch the game again.

Hello! Thanks for your reply. Kindly also check if your PC to meet the minimum system requirements. If not, the Flight Simulator 2020 may keep crashing. You can check that here: https://www.flightsimulator.com/save-the-date-0.... You can try repairing the app via the Microsoft Store.

Type Microsoft Flight Simulator in the Windows search box and click on App settings from the right menu. Scroll down to the page and click on Repair if available. If it is not here, click on Reset. If Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 crashing still appears, you can continue to scroll down the page and click on Uninstall. After that, open File Explorer and locate the C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator path to delete any leftover files/folders. Then you can clean-reinstall the app.
