    Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 fps drop after update


    Hello everyone. I run the simulator on ultra settings and 1080p resolution. I was getting around 30-35 fps (sometimes 40) in crowd cities. But after the last update, I get around 20 fps. All the settings are the same and my graphics driver is up to date.
    It really ruins the joy of gameplay. Can you suggest any solutions? Thanks.

    My specs: i7 9750H, RTX 2070 Max-Q 8 gb, 16 gb of ram.

    EDIT: solved the problem. now fps is not dropping below 30. even in the most crowded cities. everything is in ultra 1080p settings.

    what i do:

    -I downloaded ddu from the internet and uninstalled the graphics card drivers and reinstalled the most recent driver.

    -I deleted whatever is in the "Community" folder in the C: \ Users \ username \ AppData \ Roaming \ Microsoft Flight Simulator \ Packages folder.

    Hello, Yes, it is possible to configure Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 updates to be downloaded to an external folder. To do this, follow these steps:

    Open the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 application.

    Select the Settings icon in the upper right corner of the screen.

    Select "General" in the left sidebar.

    Scroll down to the "Updates" section.

    Select the "Use a different location for updates" option.

    Select the external folder where you want the updates to be downloaded.

    Select "OK."

    Once you have completed these steps, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 updates will be downloaded to the external folder you selected.
