Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 banned in China?

Hey everyone,

Like many of you, I am a big Microsoft Flight Simulator Fan. So ofcourse I am already super excited waiting for the new one.

I am living in China. When searching on Steam for the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, it shows me that this product

is currently not available in my region. Does this mean that it will be banned in China? Honestly, I would not be surprised too much...

But still I am hoping that this is not true since I really wanna fly the new Simulator.

Anyone has some information about that?

Hello,

I work in China but live in Bulgaria. I am stuck in Bulgaria now because of covid 19. I want to use Microsoft flight sim 2020 when I return to China. Can I purchase it in Bulgaria and then download it when I get to China and install it on my main computer
which is in China?

I'm not 100% sure on Union Pay through the HK Steam store as I've never tried it, but I'd be surprised if they didn't accept it. To let you know my situation, I got the Xbox app for PC, set region to Hong Kong, paid for the game pass subscription using
Alipay and it's working for me.

Atleast for me it depends on the available payment method. As of now i need to use Union Pay. Theoretically we could change the location within the steam settings to Hong-Kong or any other country beside china. But then Unionpay might not be available.

@Hotlaowai69: You know if Unionpay is available through Hongkong?
