  1. Microsoft Family Time is not showing members' time spent on connected devices

    Hi all

Hoping someone has suggestions on how to fix this very annoying issue.

I have set up a Microsoft Family containing two members with active screen time limits and activity reporting turned on. I have one connected Xbox Series X device on this Family account and both my Family members have this Xbox as a "Connected device" under their profiles.

For some reason, the screen time limits I set/change still work on both these members' profiles, however I can no longer see how much time per day/week they spend on this Xbox device. Going back on the weekly summary emails I receive, this issue seems to have started around the 13th of September 2022.

I have removed the one member from this Family, re-added them, and checked that "Activity reporting" is switched on for their profile, but I still do not get any update on how much time they spend on the connected device per day/week, both on the web console version and on the mobile app on my phone.

The weekly summary emails I receive show up blank, stating "No activities were found for XXX for the past seven days."

Does anyone possibly know to rectify this?

    :)

Microsoft Family Time is not showing members' time spent on connected devices

Hello, first it's a pleasure to be able to help you today.

My name is welcome to the community.

Hello FrancoisFourie, have there been any changes to the account of people using the console, or also on Xbox?

On your PC you are using to do monitoring, do you have your system updated with latest version for 21H2 system?

See which version of Windows 10 you have

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/see...

Updates are often seen as optional.

If you haven't updated yet, click the link below, update, and make all subsequent

    security updates.

    Download Windows 10

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-downlo...

    Download Windows 11

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-downlo...

Also, make sure all Xbox Apps are up to date in the store, and make sure you have

the Xbox Companion App installed, it works with the Xbox App.

Microsoft Family Time is not showing members' time spent on connected devices

    Hello Georges C.,

    Thank you for your reply.

    Apologies for the delayed response.

There has been no changes to the accounts of the people in my Microsoft Family or on the Xbox console, for the members I do activity monitoring.

I don't use a PC to monitor activity or check the weekly reports; I use the Android app on my mobile phone.

To test, I did also now check the reports on a Windows 11 PC (21H2) with all Microsoft updates installed, using Microsoft Edge v107.0.1418.26 (Official build) (64-bit) - No change. I can still not see any activity or screen time usage on either my Windows 11 PC or the Microsoft Family Safety app on my Android mobile device.

I have confirmed that all apps on the Xbox console are up to date, and I have the Xbox Companion App installed on my Android mobile device (I don't believe this app provides any insight into Family Safety/screentime usage at all?).

As mentioned in my initial post, it appears that both members' activity reporting stopped on the same day, ~13th of September 2022, which suggests this may not be a per-member or a device issue, as both my mobile phone and PC are unable to view the activity reports, on email, web, and via the mobile app.

Are there perhaps any additional settings/options I can look at to get these activity reports working again?

Redeemed minecoins code not showing on linked Ps4 account

Thanks but I’m now losing the will to carry on. Spent the last 3 hours on a MacBook, iPad and an iPhone trying to link my sons Microsoft account to mine via the ‘your family/family safety’ settings.

I have created a family group and set myself up as the family organiser.

I have sent him an invite to his existing child email address as a member. My screen says ‘invite sent to….’ and he now is showing as a ‘pending member’ on my screen.

He has accepted the invite by pressing ‘join now’. However it then says he is already part of another family. When we click ‘go to family group’ (expecting to see an option to leave this mystery family group) the screen he gets does not have any option to leave a family group. The screen says ‘your overview’ and ‘get family safety up and running’ and ‘connect a device’. Do we have to go through this ‘connect a device’ process before he becomes a family member? He doesn’t have a Xbox , windows 10 or android device. The whole reason why we are doing this is so he can play cross platform (on his PS4) with friends on other devices.

Ive tried cancelling and resending invites and accepted multiple times but still showing as a pending member and no way for him to remove himself from anyone else’s family.

Think I’ll sack the whole thing off.
