I received an email today stating that there are changes coming in August. The email states that my son is now 27 so I no longer have the ability to "find my child" or receive activity reports. The problem is that my son is actually 15 years old, not
    27. I'm not sure how his age is eneterd incorrectly. Maybe I mistakingly did it when I set it up or he changed it?? Either way, I need this fixed and the "How to edit childs info" option doesn't work. Suggestions?

    :)

  2. Microsoft account family settings

When I first got Xbox Live, I was never asked to type in a password for 18 plus games. But for a while now I have been having to do that and it's getting on my nerves, I can't see that I am a family member or child on my microsoft
account, and I am 18. I don't remember having my account linked to a parents, so how do I stop it from asking me? Any help would be appreciated.

    Hey MatteoBroglio,

Considering you are restricted by family settings, you must be under another guardian. Go check out your family settings on your Microsoft account: Microsoft account | Your family

There is no way to change the age of an account once it has been created.

Hi! My name is Pam. I'm an Independent Advisor and I'll be glad to help you today.

To be honest with you, looks like the system is detecting that you own a child account as you won't be able to see the page if it's considered as child.

If it's not considered as adult, you really need to add your account to a family account so you can change the settings using the ORGANIZER'S email. Here's how to add your account under a family account.

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

Just a friendly reminder though that if you’re still a minor you will not be able to remove yourself from the family group nor manage your settings, you will be needing the organizer to do it for you.

You can ask them to sign in to https://account.xbox.com/settings using their account then manage your settings.

Hi PepijnSchut, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

If you're a child account you will not be able to leave a family group, the organizer needs to remove you manually but if you're already an adult you will be able to remove yourself from the family by signing in to https://account.microsoft.com/family then click your icon.

Also, if you're still a child you need to ask the adult to sign in to https://account.xbox.com/settings so they can manage them for you.

Everytime I try to buy a game I get this error: 80182300

    I found a fix!

Some setting in microsoft family limiting purchases (must ask guardian to purchase) that was turned off had turned on on its own.

If you have microsoft family, check the settings.
