Microsoft Family Features and Asking for permission for Xbox Game Pass

I just got the Xbox game pass for $1 and wanted to play games from the library. I am having a problem with playing the games as every time I click "play" it tells meI must ask for permission to play the game. I have logged into my Microsoft account at accounts.Microsoft.com and am not in any families as far as I can tell (I base this off of the fact that it displays a prompt asking if I want to create a family group at "accounts.Microsoft.com/family/"). I had a similar problem if not the same problem before in the past when I tried to download Spotify and got it to work by leaving the Microsoft family I was a part of. Based on this I believe I am not a part of a family group even still now. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Sometimes when I click the play button also I get a window saying something along the lines of "We're having trouble" or something.

    :)

    Hey NoahRange!

Do you know the age limit for the game, and what birth year your account is set on?

Hmm, Does it ask for parental consent as permission?

Did you double check to see if you have a lock on your account? Maybe you are still in a Family Group?

If that family member's Microsoft account does not have an Xbox Live Gold (or Game Pass Ultimate) subscription connected to it, it will then have to rely on whatever subscriptions that their device's Home Xbox setting has with it. The Microsoft account
family feature does not extend subscriptions to those accounts.
