Microsoft: Extremely bad stick drift or something else?

My left analog stick began doing something similar, it drifts up bad is getting to the point of being unplayable.

Yes, it does that for very small adjustments. Not big adjustments. Is this considered stick drift, something else or is this meant to happen?

My controller has a little problem with the A button sticking and a little left stick drift. It's not too bad. I think it should be okay with about 50 days of usage. I have till Jan 31 to exchange it at the Microsoft Store.

I bought 2 Elite controllers at the same time from Microsoft. Less than 5 months the first one had button issues and stick drift. Microsoft offered replacement. Just sent it and the second started with the exact same problems, LB not working Stick drift
Microsoft says too bad no warranty. 5 months old and $500 for 2 controllers. I have made several requests and keep being told they are not under warranty. Can anyone help?

Did you try setting the sticks to the highest tension? That might help.
