Microsoft Edge randomly stopped reading my controller! Help!

I'm sorry to hear that you are having trouble using your Xbox controller with Microsoft Edge when your play through cloud gaming. This issue can sometimes be caused by a problem with the controller itself, or with the way it is being recognized by the computer. Here are a few steps you can try that may help resolve the issue:

1. Check the controller's connection

2. Update the controller's firmware

3. Update your computer's drivers

4. Try resetting your browser's settings to their default values.

Same problem here on two different pc's. Problem is an update from Edge. Since then my controller stopped working.

Microsoft should work on this.

In the beginning, I accessed discord through Microsoft Edge but after a month or two, it randomly stopped working and hasn't loaded since. I too believe that it would be quite handy to be able to just load up discord like Spotify, and even be able to receive
notifications in game of when people respond or what they say.

Have you try with USB cable connected to update the firmware?

The controller is old (wireless) our new (Bluetooth), because if is new and you have a PC with Bluetooth you can try on PC and if see its freeze there too. If that happens its the controller.

Have you used this support, Update xbox wireless controller so you get the latest firmware update?
