Microsoft Edge on Xbox is always low on Memory

We understand that you're having some performance issue with using the Microsoft Edge Web browser on your Xbox. It appears you can consistently trigger the sbox_fatal_memory_exceeded error message by just vising certain websites. And in some instances, you can even trigger an Xbox crash doing this.

The odd thing though is these same websites when opened in your Windows computer or on your Android tablet using the Google Chrome web browser seem to not slow down or crash those devices. In your personal opinion, these issues can be fixed if changes were made to Microsoft Edge browser on your Xbox.

Honestly, your suggestions are the kind of stuff our engineers would love to hear about. What’s working well, what’s not, and any ideas for improvements including possible new features and functions are very much welcomed. When I usually view deviations on Deviantart, it doesn't happen constantly but It will trigger the sbox_fatal_memory_exceeded error message because the website runs out of memory if too many images are loaded but if I watch youtube videos for a hour and close Microsoft Edge, the Xbox will stop recognizing any inputs from my controller and the same thing also applies to the dashboard and settings app.

Edge on Xbox is not meant to be used as an every day web browser. It's mostly meant for accessing product information. It is sandboxed and has limited memory available to it, so you will continue to have these problems as these prevent malware.

Also should mention if you use the mobile site instead of the desktop site it would make things a lot easier for you usually adding a m.website usuallyworks

This pulls up.the mobile user agent rather then a desktop agent
