Microsoft Edge can't update on Xbox Series S

Jesse thank you for your response. The Microsoft Edge that is available through the Microsoft Store on Xbox Series S. Is the same one I have installed and says that it can't update. I know Xbox uses a modified Windows operating system and something is blocking this update.

I have new Xbox Series S console, it have old egde browser with EdgeHTML engine. How I should update it to chromium version?

You don't reinstall edge from Ms store

You have to use the xbox store from your console.not any webpage

Don't listen to popups

You gotta remember popups can popup anywhere

It's likely spam if you are visiting funny websites

Not everything is supported

If you are trying to open kindle ebooks that would be why

Who is saying update ? Your console or a popup?

If it's. A random popup from your website becareful

They aren't real msgs especially in non ms websites

They are spam to lure you to download their software which are designed for desktops not consoles usually antivirus etc

Edge will never EVER tell you to update

The only time you get that msg is if you are on your console though your dashboard not your browser

Doing so on a pc will put your computer at risk

Edge on console is a sandboxed browser it will never run those jscriptedlls

If you are still locked clear cache and just reboot the browser and stop going to that site
