Microsoft discontinues all Xbox One X and S Digital production

Microsoft has halted all further production of the One X and the One S Digital to concentrate on Series X.

The One S with Disc Drive will still be produced.

Wonder what this will do for repairs and replacements.

This also explains why stock is extremely low for these 2 products.

I doubt it would impact repairs or replacements in the short term future however if there is an issue, many good companies offer a like for like or better. I once had a 1st gen MP3 player from everyones favourite fruit company that was recalled and it was
replaced with a 5th or 6th gen item. So I don’t think it will be an issue tbh.

The question really should be are these being replaced with something else? 🤔 I hope so as it will be great if there is a more affordable option that will sit between the One S and the Series X. Can’t wait to see next weeks show 🙂

Unfortunately, the Xbox One X consoles were discontinued just before the launch of the Series X|S consoles. You can still purchase it from elsewhere, just not brand new or directly from Microsoft.

Any advertisements you see, for this console, are likely just outdated and the part of the website hasn’t been updated to reflect this.

Xbox One S consoles (disc version), however, are still being manufactured and available for purchase. Including through Xbox All Access

Seeing as you tried everything on the support page and nothing helped.

You will need to send it in for a repair. Not sure if the Original Xbox One will be abled to be repaired seeing as they discontinued the production of it.

So getting an xbox one s or xbox one x would be the valued solution?

If the original xbox one is discontinued does that mean sending it to Microsoft to repair it is not an option?

There was only one kind of USB Kinect adapter, and it was meant to be used on either the Xbox One S or Xbox One X.

Microsoft has discontinued production on this adapter recently. There are no news of
another adapter in the works, or restocks of the current one.

If you wish to play Kinect games on your Xbox One S/X, you'll have to find an adapter from a third-party reseller, or use an original model Xbox One console.
