Microsoft currency is the most irrelevant update you guys have came out with, ive had $25 sitting in my account, and it wont let me do anything with it. Its like i just bought a $25 card just so you guys could make some money. Ive been using xbox for over
5 years and lately i feel like its just not the same. Could somebody help me out

Hello,

This sounds like a beta dashboard issue, if you downloaded your profile onto a friends console that has the beta this is a likely cause.

Unfortunately, there's no way to fix this at the current point in time and the only way you'd be able to purchase content is by going to the same console that has the beta on it.

As the beta is under NDA, we're not able to publicly discuss what's going on in the program itself. If you have access to the beta please make sure to read the beta dashboard forums

Exactly. Also, if you are purchasing something from the console it will ask for an alternate payment method just in case what you are buying goes over the amount you have in credit.

Are you referring to a prepaid MSP card, or an Xbox Gift Card?

MSP cards are worth Microsoft Points, which will transition to currency. These will eventually disappear as Gift Cards become the standard.

Xbox Gift Cards hold a value in local currency instead of MSP.

The crucial difference is that MSP cards can be taxed, but Gift Cards in most regions should not be taxed. The taxes that are then applied to your purchases on Xbox Live should go by whatever local sales tax rate you have in your region.
