Microsoft currency can't be used

ya hi there, for wutever reason, the currency is grayed out on the console for anything I try to purchase; I have enough funds for some small items but for an arcade game i'm short like $3.00 and won't let me split the purchase to this mickey mouse
game. the castle of illusion one; hope someone can address this sooner rather than later; i'm not the only one having this issue; can an official support guy just post on this to let us know if its being worked on or even identified as an issue yet/!?!?!?!?

Can't Use Microsoft Account Balance on xbox.com

Okay but why? It's been a year since they switched points to currency. They have no problem taking my credit card but Microsoft currency I actually purchased can't be used. So basically I shouldn't buy xbox cards anymore.

did you perform a region migration lately?

if the balance was from before you migrated then no currency does not transfer between regions

Some games do not allow for split payment options. This is up to the developer.

nah dog!!! I should have put that I know that developers already.....buuuuuu ; just all the customers mostly having issues; i'd really like someone to give engineering a call or wuteva....they get paid more than minimum wage so they should get themselves
to working on it....

That is because you can't use your Microsoft currency on an Xbox One to buy Xbox 360 titles. To use your currency for Xbox 360 titles, you would need an Xbox 360 console.

Gamerscore has never been worth anything. It has no monetary value and can't be used for anything other than bragging rights.

What you're seeing from 2013 is Microsoft points. That was what Microsoft used as currency in the Xbox store before discontinuing that and using the current currency system.

This is because at the present time currency cannot be used to purchase a subscription with the exception of the Music Pass on Xbox One. This is stated in their

Currency FAQ:

Can I buy an Xbox Live Gold membership with the currency in my Microsoft account?

The currency in your Microsoft account can’t be used to buy an Xbox Live Gold membership at this time.

Can I buy music with the currency in my Microsoft account?

Beginning Holiday 2013, you will be able to use the currency in your Microsoft account to sign up for an Xbox Music Pass on Xbox One. Dates and availability of music for purchase varies by device and region.

The wording "at this time" makes we wonder if they will allow it in the future though, but as it stands now this is why you can't use the currency to purchase the subscription.

Microsoft can't give you money your going to either use a credit card or buy a currency card in a local store!

Microsoft currency can't be used
