    I ordered a new Xbox One X more than a week ago (july 2), today is the 9th of july. Ok, I get an email confirmation saying it would take over 3 weeks to ship, which sounds odd, but obviously the order needs to process first. A week later (yesterday) I get an email saying the shipment date on the order is changing to the 12th of july (next tuesday from now). Today (9th) I get an email saying the payment option can't be verified and needs to be updated. Why? I made a payment on the 2nd, I put in my card information and my little authorization code on the back of the card literally authorizing for a payment of 500 some odd dollars for my purchase. The payment was taken out of the account and made pending until the order ships. This is true with any system of online ordering. If it doesn't ship you don't pay, sounds fair. Hence the "pending" payment. So, again why do i need to update information again. I'm surelynot going to authorize another payment of 500 plus dollars. So i go to account info, update payment info, same card I used a week ago, next I get an error. Something happened on our end, maybe wait a few and try again was the error message that was given when i updated. No, no, no, no, I'd like my order to ship now please. 'Confirm the payment I authorized a week ago and let's do this.' I literally just got off the phone with customer support. Took 3 hours minus the 10 minutes it took to call my bank inbetween and have them tell me that microsoft still hasn't accepted the pending transaction made on July 2. I actually talked to micro customer support twice. First time they said you're bank needs to authorize this payment and if they don't we're going to have to cancel the order (which i ALREADY AUTHORIZED AND PAID FOR). So I call micro back a after talking with my bank. They now say the process is, we take your money, put it back on your card until the order ships (which no, they don't do that), then when shipment occurs they take the payment...again, I guess. Not all in those exact words but you understand what I'm getting at. So I'm told I'll be getting a call tomorrow. Most likely to see if my payment option is going to update for them. Meaning, am I going to have another 500 something amount on my card for them to authorize...again. I don't think that's going to happen because, I STILL HAVE OVER 500 DOLLARS FLOATING IN LIMBO BECAUSE MICROSOFT WON'T RELEASE MY MONEY FROM A WEEK AGO! Oh, the cherry on top. Second support lady said if my order cancels I run the risk of not getting an Xbox at all because only one Xbox one x to an account so...wait, what kind of threat is that? That's definitely a threat being dropped. And I haven't even had my Xbox ship off yet.

    You didn't read the whole message Nathan. There aren't two charges on my account yet, I said microsoft is trying to charge me a second time. If I paid on july 2nd for an order to be shipped then I've paid once. The email I got from Microsoft is asking me to update my payment info (so they can charge my card again). The question is why? When I've already authorized for the first payment. Even over the phone they want to "update my payment info" (so they can charge me a second time). The first payment is STILL pending and all they have to do is ship the product, then my payment will release to Microsoft and *poof* MY THINGS WILL SEND. I don't understand why there needs to be updated card info for a payment that is already processed.

    Please can you go to your orders page here: Microsoft account | Order history

    How many transactions of the Xbox console do you see on that page?

    All transactions made on the Microsoft Online store, and through the Microsoft/Xbox Store app will show on the orders page. This allows you to be able to track your purchases and see what you have bought.

    You will also have the option to cancel anything or return items via that page too.

    Sorry, it does look like I have misread your question a little. When you visit this page, do you get an error message/notification about your card: Microsoft account | payment options

    You may be better sticking with contacting Microsoft Support on your open case, as they are really the only folk who can help with your problem relating to billing as they have access to this info. The Microsoft staff here will not be able to access this info, and would probably direct you to billing anyway for further support.
