    Microsoft changed the Xbox Live associated with my other microsoft account on its own?


    I made a Microsoft account with Xbox live a good year and 5, maybe 6 months ago to crossplay Minecraft on my ps4. I believe that Microsoft have changed which microsoft account the xbox account was connected to without my consent, as I have not changed
    it myself. I now cannot crossplay with my friends because the account that was changed is permanently linked to my ps4 Minecraft and I cant unlink it without logging in, which I cant do without the Microsoft account it was changed to. I believe Microsoft did
    it because I see absolutely no reason for a hacker to pinch a completely fresh account with no credit, debit, or paypal on it. Has anyone else had this issue?

    Hi David thank you very much! I appreciate your help. Just one more question, if I change the email will it delete the original account' email and its all of its other corresponding data associated with that Microsoft account or will it really just be changing the email to my own and nothing happens to the email that was removed from the account? So in other words willthat original email's Microsoft still be intact just no longer associated with an Xbox account?

    When you change the email associated with your Microsoft account, it will not delete the original email or any of its other corresponding data. Changing the email simply means that the email address linked to your Microsoft account will be updated to the new one you provide.

    The original email account will remain independent and unaffected by this change. It will no longer be associated with your Xbox account, but it will still exist as a separate email account with its own data and functionality.

    Hi there,

    as far as I know you are only able to change the associated Microsoft Account connected to an Xbox Live account via the xbox 360 console.

    Currently there aren't any other ways to change the associated Microsoft Account (email address) sorry
