  1. Microsoft, can you please provide us with an option to disable the "Quick Actions Toggle"...

I can't stress this enough - I hate that Quick Actions Toggle in the Xbox App with a burning passion. It has without a doubt ruined any chance of me making video content using console streaming. It shows up in the stream immediately and pops out on the top left-hand corner. And it doesn't even fully go away; it just gets minimized and becomes just a single button that, you guessed it, opens up the Quick Actions Toggle menu. And every time, I disconnect from console streaming in frustration.

I have complained about this directly to Microsoft with 1 or 2 chats with representatives. A lot of people apparently shared the same sentiment, and they said they would 'escalate' it further and take it in as important feedback. So far, I have not seen any improvement to the Quick Actions Toggle menu, nor an option to disable it entirely. The many times the Xbox App has updated, this obvious issue has not been addressed or fixed. The Quick Actions Toggle menu still pops out of the screen and is virtually impossible to get rid of. It just ruins console streaming entirely.

This is a massive blow to someone like me who is a content creator on YouTube. The only way for me to even make YouTube content on my Xbox is to either use an external USB flash drive, or stream it directly on Twitch, download the VOD, and then upload it. And both have problems. You can only record up to one hour of footage with an external USB, and streaming to Twitch directly from the Xbox just makes the entire footage come out fuzzy and, sometimes, barely visible. There is no other option for me as I am sure as heck not spending hundreds upon hundreds of dollars on a capture card for my PC. We are not in the best financial situation right now and we're trying to save on money. Console streaming would be the ultimate solution to this problem, but that dang Quick Actions Toggle pop-out menu ruins it entirely since there's no toggle to turn it off/disable it.

Not to mention, other people have stated that the Quick Actions Toggle menu messes with their controller inputs as certain buttons opens up the pop-up menu and pauses their game, which is a incredibly annoying feature. Some have even claimed that moving the toggle menu down to the bottom left-hand corner of the screen does nothing to fix the toggle menu being tied to certain buttons on the controller. This is incredibly frustrating whenever you are in the middle of a game and the Quick Actions Toggle menu abruptly shows up in the middle of your session, pausing your game, and if you are in the middle of a battle or fight, could result in you losing or dying. If moving the pop-out menu down to the bottom of the screen doesn't fix the controller issues, then nothing will. The only thing that can be done to fix this is to provide a settings option to enable/disable the Quick Actions Toggle menu on console streaming.

The fact that this is still an issue with console streaming on the Xbox App on Windows baffles me. Why is there no toggle for enabling and disabling it? Why are we forced to use it when it messes with our controller inputs? Why can't we make a choice? I have already complained about this to Microsoft in the past, and nothing came of it. All I got was a response stating that they'll 'escalate it' and 'take it in as critical feedback'. And throughout all of that time of waiting, the Quick Actions Toggle pop-out menu is still always enabled in console streaming, with no option to disable it. I know I am not the only one who feels the same way about this. There are many people across various social media websites that have complained about this, and Microsoft did nothing to fix it or provide a toggle in the console streaming settings of the Xbox App to disable this pop-out menu. This 'mandatory' feature is ruining my ability to create YouTube content, is messing with people's controller inputs, and there is no way to disable it. You'll just have to suck it up and deal with it, which I won't be doing.

Microsoft, when will you address this and provide an option in the settings to disable this feature? Look, I get it. You want us to have easy access to certain options and give us a much easier way to disconnect from console streaming when we are done. But, there are some people who are really getting annoyed and frustrated that this Quick Actions Toggle is on the screen all of the time while we are streaming our console, myself included. I have chatted with you before on this issue and there has not been any development towards improving the user experience regarding this for xCloud on the Windows Xbox App. The easiest solution would be to just provide a tick in the settings menu of the app that says "Enable Quick Actions Toggle menu" with a checkmark, and allowing people to uncheck it if they want it completely disabled. I know there are a lot of Xbox gamers like myself who share the same sentiments, I wouldn't be saying all of this if it weren't true.

Microsoft, can you just provide us with an option to disable this already? I hate the fact that the Quick Actions Toggle menu is always enabled with no option to disable it at all anywhere in the settings. I should have a choice as to whether or not I want the toggle menu on; and if I want to make a video, then I want it disabled, no strings attached. The console streaming experience on the Windows Xbox App is being ruined because of the fact there's no way to disable this. It is literally messing with controller inputs, and people should have a choice whether or not they want it enabled.

I really tried to be as nice as possible about this. But this is a serious issue that has not been fixed or addressed and I needed to get serious for a moment. There should be an option to disable this in the settings of the Xbox App on Windows. Like I already said, we deserve a choice.

    :)

No problems at all. Use the Server Search and toggle your search options not the Quick Match option.

How do I unbind the share button on my xbox controller?

I'm Samy an independent advisor and I'll be helping you :D

    How are you, mate?

Sadly, so far it is not possible to disable this button but a workaround that might help you is to disable the GAME DVR.

To disable Xbox Game DVR on your Xbox One, hit the Xbox button and head to Settings. Joystick down to ‘Preferences, then select ‘Capture & share’. Toggle the first option, ‘Allow game captures’, from ‘Captures by me or games’ to ‘Don’t capture’ to disable Xbox Game DVR. Alternatively, you can toggle this option to ‘Captures by me’.

Can my child buy Fortnite crew with credit on his Microsoft account (that is can I add money each month) or will it need my credit card details?

Hi Michael! My name is Darhyl and I’d be more than happy to help you with your query.

It's important to note that this is a public user-to-user community forum, and none of us here work for Microsoft.

Yes, it is possible to purchase on your Child account using the Microsoft credits he has on his account without needing your credit card details.

In order to do so, you can disable the "Ask to buy" feature using your parent account to the Child account. Here's how to do it:

Sign in using your parent account on account.microsoft.com > family settings > Find your family member's name/child account and click More options >

    > Turn off Needs organizer approval to buy things toggle.

    > To approve purchase requests through email, turn on Email me when they get stuff toggle.

    > Disable the "Ask to buy" feature.

If you prefer, you can disable the subscription auto-renew on his account so that having your son purchase anything without your consent can be avoided. You can disable the renewal by signing on to his account on account.microsoft.com > services and subscription.

Thank you for your kindness and understanding! Please feel free to let me know if you need anything else.

    Best Regards,
    Darhyl
