    Microsoft (Routers): Ban
    First check the enforcement site to verify that all suspensions are really over: https://enforcement.xbox.com/en-US

    If all suspensions are expired, and you are therefore clear, try the following steps:

    1. Remove your account from the Xbox.
    2. Give your Xbox a power cycle.
    3. Add your account back into the Xbox.
    4. Attempt to use the social features now.

    It's not a permenant ban but those that have received a retail console early and connected it to the net have had it banned.

    No, the ban is imposed on the Microsoft account and will not be lifted when the Xbox One is released as the entire Microsoft account is permanently banned.

    I accidentally logged in with a banned account in Forza Horizon 4 on Steam

    you cannot get around bans by using a different Microsoft account, your steam profile will be flagged and if you did manage to log in with another Microsoft account it will get banned too, it is there to stop ban avoidance, the only proper way to circumvent the ban is to have a new steam account and new Microsoft account.

    is the same for all accounts that connect with each other not just Microsoft.
