Microsoft avoid helping their customers!

I bought an Xbox series s in the UK from Argos in March.

The hdmi is broken 6 months later.

Sent it to microsoft to be fixed in September.

They sent it back, saying it is out of warranty.

It was purchased in March so it wasn't out of warranty.

Someone in their Czech repair centre either didn't look at it or changed the warranty date as I have receipt and bank statement showing I bought it from Argos in March. So I have owned it for only 6 months and UK law states the warranty should last for 12 months. Yet, on the Microsoft website my device is now showing out of warranty, 2 days after it was shipped back to me from the repair centre?

I cannot speak to anyone at Microsoft repair because the system has you running in a loop!

What now?

Is this normal customer service?

Shall I get my kids a Play station instead?

I remember they have value for the customer!

You need to open a ticket at https://support.xbox.com

You need to submit photos of your dated reciept along with your other evidence to get your warranty adjusted

The warranty is 12 months, but unless you register your purchase date, it's based on the manufacture date.

Then why did Jayson Z inform me to post on the forums? I'm guessing Microsoft is just trying to avoid their customers.

Microsoft loves to put players in a catch 22. Customer Support tells players to talk to Enforcement Team about reputation, but they either ignore us or respond with the same automated copy/paste message offering zero help. So we come back to customer support
to talk to an actual human being and thus we keep going around the circle.

The other catch 22 is Enforcement's copy/paste message telling us to complete online matchmaking games to come out of "Avoid Me" reputation, but we aren't able to find any games BECAUSE of "Avoid Me" reputation.

Gotta love how Microsoft does things.

Yes, you could get banned for that due to copyright infringement. A custom gamerpic should be something you own or created, that way you avoid copyright issues.

This is serious. and we need to help you. First, contact your credit card company and tell them to change the credit card number (to avoid further charges). And then, contact Microsoft Support here.

And third, when you get back your account, put an SECURE password to avoid hackers enter your account, and then, make sure to put
2FA ON.
