Microsoft apps not working after reset

I see. Please go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps > Search for "Microsoft Store" then click the ellipsis button at the right then click "Advanced options" then click "Reset" at the bottom part to reset the Microsoft Store. After doing that, restart your computer. Once it is back on, try installing any game using the Microsoft Store app and see if it works.

I am having this same problem. I have to continually reset the app to get it to work. This started after the last Microsoft Update in June.

Resetting the app seems to work for this most of the time. Sometimes a uninstall and reinstall is required. Your prior data will still be on the cloud.

To reset the app:

Got to Window Icon -> Settings -> Apps -> then select Apps & Features -> scroll down to Microsoft Solitare Collection -> then select Advanced Options -> scroll down to Reset and select Reset

If that doesn't work then instead of selecting Advanced Options, select Uninstall. Go to the Microsoft Store and re-Install.

Clear out the computer's cache by rebooting after the Reset or Uninstall.

This is what worked for me:

- log out from xbox and microsoft store

- go to the app overview in windows settings

- search for the microsoft store and xbox apps (xbox, game bar...)

- go to the advanced options for every single of these apps and click on "repair" and "reset"

- restart your pc

after that log in and try again. would be interesting if it works for you too.

Thank you for your help. I tried your steps with repairing the Xbox App and the Companion App, but the Companion App is not repairable. So i reset it. And it worked! After resetting i started the app, interestingly i didnt have to sign in after resetting but the streaming works now.

I hope this will help other people as well.
