    Microsoft and Youtube have officially started blocking content from Xbox 360 and Xbox 1 users


    At first I wasnt a hundred percent sure this was the case but lately I have been getting a message that states..

    This content isnt available for your platform..

    But yet my phone plays the videos as well as my laptop and my PS3...

    Why the hell are we being restricted? Im a Xbox gold subscriber as well so their is no excuse as to why this is happening! The videos Ive tried to watch arent unrated violent sexual or even stolen video or movies! WTF is going on??? Is it because you are
    allowing silver members access to apps that shouldnt have been blocked from the beginning?? I would love to hear the reason for this! Or am I going to get the runaround as usual and be told to speak to Google who doesnt respond to ANYTHING!!! You have the
    control and the last say in ANYTHING THAT IS POSTED ON YOUR DEVICE! Respond ASAP! Until then I have to plug in my cr*ppy PS3 just to watch unrestricted youtube! THX ALOT

    Whats the Rock Band Premium Mic like?

    I've just picked this up from (Xbox 360 Official Rock Band Premium Mic (Xbox 360) £10.95 - Free Delivery) for £10.95 and think it's ace!

    It says on the FAQ on the official site that it works with other singing games and that you can connect 2 mics to the same console for games that support dual singing modes....so my question is....will this work with LIPS?

    Im with you there man! I thought it was just mine but I have noticed that more and more content is being blocked with every update. I USED TO be able to see ANYTHING and EVERYTHING that was posted on Youtube. Now, I can maybe get half the stuff that I used
    to be able to get and if you think its going to make me subscribe to a service to pay for this content, you are sadly mistaken. If you want to block certain things from silver subscribers, fine but I should NOT be getting LESS with my Gold subscription!!!

    Delete the stupid and totally useless youtube app and view youtube through the browser. I often get the "you cannot view this because you are not 18yrs old" message, I AM 38yrs OLD!!!!!

    Delete the stupid and totally useless youtube app and view youtube through the browser. I often get the "you cannot view this because you are not 18yrs old" message, I AM 38yrs OLD!!!!!

    Useless: IE "blocked" setting in "Privacy" menu, not "Family"

    The Unrated Content block removes the YouTube app from the app marketplace. Thus, it stands to reason that since YouTube can be accessed through Internet Explorer on Xbox Live, IE should also be blocked under the Unrated Content setting.

    Also, the YouTube app no longer exists on the new dashboard - it is to be accessed through IE.

    Think about it - nearly everything that is blocked on the Xbox Live "Family" menu can be accessed by Internet Explorer. Doesn't that render all of the Family safety settings useless?

    Be the parent? Want to know how I'm the parent with our computers? By password-protecting full access to the internet. The new Xbox Live dashboard doesn't have this option.

    I cannot buy games in the Xbox Store

    Hi Xgoan,

    There are two main reasons to why there may be difficulties purchasing Xbox 360 Backwards compatible content for your Xbox One.

    1) If you're trying to purchase the content with your Microsoft Account Credit it would only allow you to do so from an Xbox 360.

    2) If the account is a 'Child' account it would also block certain 360 content purchases to process out.
